Truth about Rape Christmas Campaign

"The Truth About Rape women deserve all our respect for the work they do. Keep on doing it because we need you."
"We need a legal system that protects women, not rapists."
"Only feminism, activism and a commitment to build a society free from patriarchy can change this. And this campaign is one brick in the big wall."
"Typical of the legal system which acts horrified when it is suggested that a defendant's past convictions for sexual assault should be raised in court, but totally happy to drag out a woman's past sexual history. This is done to paint women as lying whores who were "asking for it" for having "submitted" to some form of sexual activity in the past. The judge to my mind often sees these women as already defiled objects who aren't worth protecting. It is revolting that women are punished in 2004 for exercising sexual self-determination."
"The justice system is no justice at all while we have judges with attitudes like this and the power to exercise such attitudes with impunity. Good luck to the campaign and thanks for making this public."
"What this judge has done is a disgrace to justice. He has done everything in his considerable power to avoid punishing rapists and molesters. If we believe that rape victims deserve protection and that rapists must be punished then this judge needs to be removed from the bench. Women in our society will remain in danger as long as men like him preside in our courts."
"This is disgraceful!!!! I can hardly say I am surprised though."
"I would ask him what does appearance have to do with rape? And what year is he living in?"
"I would like to say that I am shocked by what I have just read. Unfortunately I am not. My own never even got to court".
"This judge should be charged with aiding a sexual assault, as in my opinion he is as guilty of the assault on this poor girl as the animals who committed it, he has condoned it, and put out the message to the attackers and any one else that this is not a crime, appalling".
"Shame on you Judge Hucker. By your lenient sentencing you're saying rape is NOT A SERIOUS CRIME. Rape IS a SERIOUS crime".
"Despite poor (and falling) prosecution rates for sexual violence and despite lenient sentencing for sexual violence there has been a recent spate of judge's rulings which simply show judges to lack empathy and common sense. There is good quality sensitive training available on sexual violence - perhaps judges should be made to take it? Or perhaps they would like to meet those of us who have experienced sexual violence to talk openly and honestly about what it is like. I'd volunteer right now".
"The evidence is overwhelming. Judge Hucker has clearly demonstrated innate bias towards rape survivors. Judge Hucker made his decision despite the fact he is not an expert on rape and sexual assault. Neither is Judge Hucker an expert on the fact rape survivors experience diverse reactions after having endured multiple or single rape by male perpetrators".
"This is outrageous. I thought the British system was better than this".
"I'm writing right now. I have had enough of so called justice in this country for women".
"I think such judges just want to win a case whether a girl or woman is hurt or not. He is not worthy to prosecute a rape case. He should be barred from rape cases".
